Juspay / Complete global rebrand

One system.
Many payment worlds.

From an India-rooted payments company to a global payments brand.

After more than a decade building in one of the world’s most complex payment markets, Juspay was becoming a global company.

The rebrand gave that change a clear position, a useful message and a system capable of carrying many local payment realities.

The operating idea

One system can travel only when it understands the local.

The global promise was not sameness. It was a shared operating layer fluent in the methods, rails and decisions of each market.

One operating layerA smaller, darker stage gives the system room to move without turning it into a full-width slab.
The proposition

Built to travel.
Fluent in the local.

The category
A global payments operating system.
The position
One system for many payment worlds.
The brand idea
Global could not mean generic.
The change
India-rooted expertise, made legible to the world.
One integration.Every payment method in the world.
Why the rebrand mattered

The company was going global. The brand had to catch up.

Juspay had spent years learning from the density of Indian payments. Going global was a chance to turn that hard-won intelligence into a clearer position for the world.

I led the complete rebrand across positioning, messaging, identity, website, art direction and creative direction. The job was to make Juspay’s global ambition credible.

A brand with rangePeople, products and markets held by one operating idea.
World map composed from global payment methods and providers
Global reachMethods, rails and integrations made the world concrete.
Checkout system composed from modular controls and local payment methods
Local fluencyCheckout designed for different payment conditions.
The condition

Payments refuse to be placeless.

A merchant sees conversion. A bank sees risk. A developer sees integrations. A payments team sees routes, costs and failure states.

Methods, providers, rules and priorities change by market. Recognition had to come from a stable grammar—not a repeated picture.

The governing idea

One operating idea.
Many forms of expression.

Resilience, made visibleDistributed infrastructure shown at its native portrait ratio.
Alternate payment methods arranged around a coordinated checkout
OrchestrationDense product information ordered into a sequence.
RoutingOne grammar connecting rules, providers and outcomes.
System principles

Every element had a job.

Modular sequence expressed as a precise spatial system
01

Sequence

Turn dense product information into steps a reader can follow.

Concentrated colour signals moving through a payment system
02

Signal

Use concentrated colour for state, action and priority.

Payment handoffs expressed through directional motion
03

Motion

Show routing, handoffs and change over time.

A modular payment composition adapting across formats
04

Responsive

Keep hierarchy stable when the composition has less room.

Identity behaviour

Recognition came from a repeated grammar, not a repeated picture.

Diatype, exacting grids and a high-contrast information hierarchy gave the case study its voice. Blue established the brand; green, teal and purple acted as signals.

The result could move from authentication to offers, infrastructure to regional expression—without becoming another company.

Juspay wordmark and colour construction
WordmarkA clear signature for a global company.
Juspay blue colour system
ColourBlue establishes; secondary colours signal.
Tokenisation expressed through the Juspay identity system
TrustSecurity and payment infrastructure expressed in the same visual grammar.
Trust in motion

Three moments. One coordinated grammar.

Authentication, acceptance and tokenisation each carry a different job. A minimal field lets the animation explain the difference.

AuthenticationTrust stays close to the moment of intent.
AcceptanceRouting choices resolve into a measurable outcome.
TokenisationTechnical infrastructure moves toward commercial consequence.
Tokenisation

Reduce interchange fees.

Network tokens turn technical infrastructure into a story about trust, efficiency and commercial consequence.

One system. Local registers.

Global payments are not one market repeated at scale.

Every country brings its own methods, rails, regulation, risk and habits. The system travelled by knowing what had to stay stable—and what had to change.

Middle EastA regional story with its own pace and visual register.
BanksThe operating system enters the global payments conversation.
AirlinesGlobal reach expressed through an industry-specific journey.
Southeast AsiaLocal context changes expression, not identity.
Reconciliation engine coordinating payment providers and outcomes
Reconciliation

Many providers.
One legible layer.

Transactions, providers and outcomes are brought into one coordinated view.

ReconciliationA complete 16:9 system view, allowed to breathe edge to edge.
The operating system

Modular.
Composable.
Scalable.

One stable system, expressed through different payment conditions. Each product keeps its specialist logic while the shared grammar keeps the company legible.

My role

I led the complete rebrand—and built the conditions for specialists to make it real.

My remit covered positioning, messaging, brand, art and creative direction, website direction and system stewardship.

It was team-built. Designers, motion designers, illustrators, developers and production partners carried distinct parts of the system.

A complete rebrand.
A team-built outcome.
